Arguably the most well-known bush tucker, witchetty grub have long played a part in Indigenous culture. As well as being hunted for eating, witchetty grub also appear in a number of Aboriginal paintings. They are safe to eat raw, during which they taste like almonds. When cooked, their taste resembles that of chicken.
