Introducing our full-day Daintree Dreaming – Aboriginal Art & Culture and Daintree Dreaming – Traditional Aboriginal Fishing tours, both offering travellers a glimpse into the unique lives of the Kuku Yalanji people, the Indigenous people of Mossman country in Queensland’s tropical north. Departing from Cairns and Cairns beaches, each tour provides the opportunity to explore the World Heritage-listed Daintree Rainforest on a dreamtime journey, discovering Ngadiku (Nar-di-gul) as well as how bush soaps are made, how to identify bush-tucker and how native plants have been traditionally used. Uncover art and culture with a visit to the Yiki people’s protected Janbal Aboriginal Art Gallery, or grab a spear and hunt for mud crabs and periwinkles at the Kuku Yalanji traditional fishing grounds on Cooya Beach as part of the Aboriginal Fishing tour.
